Big Blue, the 67 Crown Coupe - Managing Director Edition

Once again, thanks for your support, gents. I am focusing on my medical care, so I haven't had time to start marketing Big Blue. Maybe in a week or two. As for disclosing my "investment" in the car, it's just the way I do business: transparently and with full disclosure. If that means I leave some money on the table, I can live with that.

I just spent most of the day at the MOPARS in the Park 2017 car show in Rancho Cordova, CA. This was the first show I've ever competed in. Big Blue took 2nd place in the Imperial division, despite not being in show car shape. Most of the 200+ MOPARS at the show looked like showroom models; number 1 condition. My car still needs a lot of TLC to get to that level.

It is such good news to hear you were able to attend this event let alone take home a trophy! Well done Dave!

Congrats on your 2nd place win. It must be an amazing car you have. I don't know but if I ever owned a number 1 car I think I would be hesitant to drive it much ,,if at all. I drive my Fury quite abit.

Nice going Dave! You and the car deserve it.

If my health continues to improve, I will be able to keep Big Blue. On the other hand, if things go the other way, my only realistic option will be to sell all my cars. I don't want to leave my wife with that task. She's not a gearhead and will have her hands full of other problems.

We are already rooting for you... now we will have to say a prayer for the cars too.

Seriously, keep getting better.

Nice win Dave and hoping your health continues to improve so you can keep big blue!

Have we heard about the rest of your collection??

It's not much of a collection anymore. I've already sold the Porsche Boxster S and the Volvo Turbowagon. The remaining interesting cars are a 2004 Mercedes-Benz SL55 AMG and a 2004 VW Phaeton V8. Our normal daily driver is a 2006 Toyota Sienna AWD.

Nice... I wasn't allowed to drive AMG cars for a day after I hit close to 100MPH on our little 1/2 mile test road behind the one dealership in an SL55 during a predelivery inspection... for all intents and purposes those may be the fastest cars I have driven. Few had more power, but none delivered it to the road as well.
