Number of doors immaterial. But I'm looking for something that's been cherished and needs no major interior or mechanical work, has no rust and needs no real paint work beyond a touch-up. Will look at all comers. I'm hoping to find something within 1000 miles of Detroit. Let's see what you've got!

Thanks,
Brian

By the way, I'm looking to stay south of five figures. But I probably could go a little north of that for the right car. Also, powertrain immaterial. I even like those Canadian /6 Cs. Strong preference for split benches and buckets, but will entertain all prospects.

sport fury.jpg

68 sport fury. 383-column shift. posi rear. Runs and drives good. Very nice but not original interior. Nice paint and good glass.
Planning on putting it up for sale after winter. My wife hates the color and won't ride in it.
Feel free to contact me if you might be interested.

Nice prospect, Geo. But I'm afraid shipping from Spokane would roast me!

Understood. asking price may be attractive enough to offset shipping?? Not sure if its frowned upon to post it in this thread.

How would shipping "roast" you..
Lets say he wants 5000$ for car..
Then shipper want 1000$ to deliver...
You got 6000$ into the car...
WAYYYY south of five figures and what looks like a pretty nice car....

X, it's simply that--whatever I pay for the car--I don't want to put $2k into shipping when I could be putting that back into the car. I understand that paying extra for a dry West Coaster is worth the premium, I'm just hoping to score one that's dry and close. Hey, call me a dreamer!

Shipping is pretty reasonable if you are not in a rush. I got my non runner '70 Sport Fury shipped to me in Florida from Arizona for $1200. It took a week to line up a truck and took the truck a week and half to get it to me. You want it picked up and brought to you with no delay? Yeah, you'll pay $3-4 a mile.

And I may contact you again for a shipper recommendations. But I'd love to find something close. Like many here, I've had a bad shipping experience I don't care to repeat.

I’m in the process of having 2 cars shipped at once so I will hold off on the reference until it’s done but it was far cheaper than I expected it to be.

Dreamer... :poke:

At least you're in a good part of the world to find car that has been loved and garaged. Even if you have to skulk around estate sale to find it.

If I hadn't just fallen in love with mine... I've shipped from NC to TX for $700.
