Even if I don't stay tuned, it keeps coming back on for me, regardless.
That ghost will be around forever. Unless someone kills her with a tree, I believe she will continue in flipper purgatory due to the uniqueness of the build, and everytime she blips on radar, she'll be posted here.

Just checking.....

It seems he just dropped off the radar quickly.
He said he pinched a nerve in his neck... it must be connected to his typing finger...

I can relate, I've had some excruciating experiences with my neck damage, it can get so bad I simply can't think.

I agree with Jeff

BUT, i also vowed if Stan's car came up again, I would try to acquire it (I dig this car) and get it back the condtion when Stan last had it, enjoy it as long as I could, and then find it a good home after I am officially Scenicrusin with the Posse.

Advertised price doesnt seem like right acquistion cost for it given the potential deleterious effects of "musical chairs/showoffs/tire squeals, etc)" over the intervening years. I will make seller one offer .. what do you guys think that should be?

To me, seems like mid four digits somewhere?

as i ponder that number, my bet is it probably wont get the job done, and the flapjackin' then goes on .. but nothing ventured nothing gained. Somebody has gotta try to save it. :)
Fair pricing is $2500-$5k, and $5k is very, very fair. If I believed for a moment the seller would be reasonable, I'd have jumped. Given the location and the past selling efforts, I believe this flipper will be more than stubborn and has been sitting on it (maybe waiting for our bad press efforts to die down).

In all seriousness, Stan built a very cool car... He didn't go over the top and she would have appeal for lots of folks when she left him. The damned scoops are the first things I'd cure, just so I could look at her. All things considered I could live with the wheels at least until it was time for tires.

I would love to see this car treated with some respect finally.

It's pretty close to where the Garlits Show is held.At that price, it might still be around in November to go see.

I hope Jav feels better soon.

And his typing finger recovers.....

His daughter is probably heading up the classic car operation by now.

Well Stan, you did start this without realizing that it would keep coming back into your life.
Kind of like indigestion...reminded of what you ate every time you belch:lol:

I agree.
I've been a member for 6 years almost & think I have have the car for sale about 4 times now.

Stan's car is a novelty item. Very cool to acquire and have fun with but no one wants to maintain it to the level that Stan had it.

I think it will perpetually change hands for years to come.

weve made contact with seller. Zac has arranged to see it today. looking forward to his assessment.

should there be any next steps between me and the seller, that will be done in private.

if a deal results, or not, ill never diss the guy in public ... if i cant say something nice id rather say nothing at all.

i am just looking for a fair deal ... maybe we'll agree in what that is. maybe not.

Pictures please.....

I'm surprised there wasn't any interest for a magazine article on Stan's car.

Especially before the hood scoops.....
