The flying what has been sold to a forum member who wishes to remain anonymous at this time. It is going to a good home.

Do to pressure from family members, additional BS from the State of PA wanting visitors from certain states including NC to quarantine for 14 days and other personal issues including a close friend battling a very serious health issue, I have decided to skip Carlisle this year.

I know that many will be disappointed that neither I nor the flying whale will be at Carlisle. The new owner may bring the flying whale to Carlisle next year.

That’s what we call bittersweet. Congrats!

Stay safe and healthy, I'm sure you're find some consolation that the Whale went to a good home. Take care!!

Glad to hear the “Whale” found a good home. My son & I won’t be at Carlisle either this year. I have a daughter getting married in 3 weeks and my wife has auto immune issues. Playing it safe and smart. Stay healthy everyone.

Bill congratulations on the sale of the flying whale. Someone here got a great car. Sorry you had to take a pass on Carlisle this year.

As was said Bill, it must be bittersweet seeing the whale go away and not going to Carlisle this year. I waited until the end of last week before deciding if I was going or not. I'm going and you'll be missed.

So very sorry to hear that the Whale has been sold Bill, but I hope you got your asking price and hope the new owner on here loves it and appreciates the history as much as you did.

As for Carlisle I am so very sorry as well to hear you are not going, and as Steve said you will be missed. It won't be the same without you.

It's sale will fund the restoration of a very special car that I am not going to disclose the details on until it is done.

I know about this car, but as you mentioned I will not say any information. All I will say is it is another Mopar and C-body, BUT it is a BETTER one than the Whale and one that I personally am a passionate enthusiast about. That said I am REALLY looking forward to hearing more details about it.

Fury GT - was that your only C-Body?

No, That was one of the issues. It is one of 6 C Bodies + a pickup, 2 daily drivers, an open car trailer and an enclosed car trailer and a new house with a garage that only holds 4 cars with 2 lifts in it.

It was a tough decision. I haven't missed a year in more than 25 years. I will miss meeting up with everyone.

Geez, the Whale is moving to a new home again. Well, here's hoping that the situation is better in 2021 and I get to meet you, the Whale and its new owner at Carlisle next year!
