Photo op of the day...

My brother-in-law's brother built this house and is finally finished, after taking 4 years to build it in his spare time (he's in construction and did most all the work himself). There's hardly a straight line to be found anywhere on the house. Obviously it's more difficult to build a house like this than a "normal" house, but he's that kind of guy, just wanting to do something a bit out of the ordinary. The house came to be known in the area as the Hobbit House. I couldn't resist getting a photo of the Sport Fury during the open house he had a few weeks back.

The house is on Bainbridge Island, Washington. They intend to rent it out as a weekend getaway type place. Here's a photo of the hand-made front entry door, made from purpleheart wood.

I don't have any photos of the interior but it's more normal looking. Here's a couple more outside shots.
