Any accordian players here?

Dude! I've always been attracted to the banjo, with a Bro that played guitar, I thought it's be easy! NOT, at 18/9 YO. I'd still love to pick IT!!! Good Luck!!!

I am feeling pretty good. I had ordered a lesson book, and sat down to familiarize myself with the accordion. I can read music and play the piano, so this is a massive advantage over a true beginner to music.

The 120 bass buttons are slightly less intimidating now. You start with core section of bass notes and bass cords section. It is still the hardest new part, because you can't see your fingers. Out of 120 buttons only the middle C has a dent for reference. Only practice will make this a natural process.

Hey Mike! Maybe you could get a gig on the Big Joe Polka Show. Big Joe has been gone for several years now, but maybe the show is still going somewhere. "Happy Music for Happy People."

How's the playing commin along? Listening to one of my oddball radio stations today, I asked myself if Zy has learned how to play this easy one yet when it came on air? LOL

I have been neglecting my practicing nearly all year, 2020 hasn't helped me with my desire. I am planning to start practicing once again in November when all my fall work is done.

All those months of home confinement and you couldn't find enough time to kill & practice? Shame on you.

I learned to play the accordion growing up and was in an accordion band. We would go to accordion festivals in Orange County, CA. I stopped and moved to the trumpet when I was about 13.

Thats just it I have never been busier, I haven't had employees for the last 2 years, a plus this year for sure, and nearly all my work is repeat customers. I was able to get outside early this year too.

Do you still play the trumpet?

Sorry I just realized this comment wasn't to me.

I just haven't felt it since all this crap hit to play any of my instruments, but listening to music is a whole different thing. I pretty much listen all day long and I got my jukebox home and hooked it up to some exterior speakers on my deck too. It has become my obsession this summer and fall, changing out the 45s every few weeks and buying way too many in the last several months.
