Classic Car Scene/Culture - Greater Boise, ID

Boise has made the short list for a new place to call home sometime in the future. Can any members shed light on the classic car scene there? I was there on business a couple of weeks ago and had more daily classic car sightings "in the wild" in a few days than I get here in So Cal in a few...

    Belts - Preferred Brand

It's time to replace the belts on my '65 300 'vert with Factory AC. I've not bought belts in some time and was curious if anyone has a preferred brand that may be better than the others. Gates, Continental and Dayco make belts for my application. Any preferred over the other?

What's the best way to go about lubricating the hood hinges and torsion bars? WD-40? White lithium grease? What are the lubrication points? I've got an awful squeak and the hood is getting hard to close.
