Oil viscosity and type for a 426 street wedge

I have a 1965 Sport Fury with an original block 426 and 4 spd. Haven't changed the oil since I have had it (but check it regularly), maybe 2000 miles has been driven. Edelbrock heads, intake and carb. 10.5:1 supposedly, dynoed at 408 hp at 5100. Old standard 10W-40, or a newer 0-20W synthetic?

1965 Sport Fury 426 fuel pump

Wandering around the internet, I can find multiple listings for this. Some specify Carter M3672, others M6866 (bid difference in lever arm length). Differences probably due to engine types/sizes? Which one is the right one, or what would you guys recommend?

    Engine Starting Trouble

I drive my 65 Sport Fury only about once very few weeks. Over time, it takes longer and longer amount of cranking to get it fired up. Like it has to pull gas all the way from the tank. No leaks that I can find. Worried about frying the starter. What can I look for to try to understand what...

    Wheel backspact/offset

I have a 65 Sport Fury with old style Cragers on it. Want to get some Magnums, but unclear what size. Current tires are 255/60/15 on back and 235/60/15 front, they will be reused. Pretty sure this is 15x8, but there are two backspaces offered by WheelsVintique, 4/5" and 5". What would be the...

    Limp Brake Pedal

I was fixing up some wiring on my 65 Sport Fury and somehow just noticed after owning the car for 3 years, the break pedal is much further back than the clutch. Took it out, no issues with the brakes (power), pedal is firm with reasonable travel, it just starts back further than the clutch...

Touchup paint for 65 Sport Fury Bright Red

After 2 years pretty much done freshening up my baby. Mostly new interior, trunk re-do, few engine pieces here and there, new TTI exhaust (sound is absolutely intoxicating). Dyno'ed right at 401 rwhp at Sharadon in Hugo, MN, due to the Edelbrock heads, intake, and carb on the original block...

    Radio problems

So I re-installed the refurbished original radio in my 65 sport fury this weekend. Tested it, all seemed good. Went for a drive in the car and turned on the radio, clearly there is some kind of electrical interference related to the ignition causing static. You can hear the high frequency...

    Getting the old girl started

1965 426 Sport Fury. Started/drove it every few weeks until about this time last summer when I parked it in the garage for a full interior re-do. Actually started it occasionally through the winter, although didn't drive it. It has sat off since about March, made sure there was a full tank of...

    65 Sport Fury Radio Install

So my 65 Sport Fury didn't have a radio in it when I got it. Just now have acquired one and got it refurbished. Radio has nuts and knobs for the front, but it seems like it is missing some kine of bracket or support on the back, otherwise it sags and doesn't look right. Am I missing a...

    65 Sport Fury Console Resto

So my 65 Sport fury has been partially restored a couple of times in its history. Along the way the fake wood had been stripped from the dash (or a replacement dash was installed) and its all black. Only fake wood left is on the console. It had started to peel, so I helped it along a bit, but...

    65 Fury Speedo removal

So, seats are out for new coverings, carpet installed, radio and clock removed for fixin', trying to remove the speedo. Removed screws, unhooked the cable and removed the light bulbs. Unit seems wedged between the top of the dashboard and steering column, no matter what angle I try. Please...

    Front seat hold down nut/bolt

This is a pic of the nuts/bolts that hold the seat to the bracket that is screwed into the floor. Out of the 8 sets for the 2 front seats, only 4 are correct. The square bolt allows screwing without a wrench on that side. Anyone know where to get these?

My recently acquired 426 4pd 65 Sport Fury

Got this last year, just now started to poke at it this summer. Was originally restored in the late 1980s, was a article car in High Performance Mopar magazine in 1991. Since that time it has mostly just been driven around here and there. Engine has the original block, but has an Edelbrock...

Tach for 65 Sport Fury 4sp

My 65 Sport Fury 4sp console did not originally come with a tach. The guy I got the car from had a used one he threw in with the deal, but it was completely rotted and with a bunch of spaghetti wiring. This is not a correct resto or a period correct car, just a really nice driver. Anyone...

65 Sport Fury OEM steel wheels

Hello! I recently acquired a 65 Sport Fury numbers matching 426 4-speed. Partially restored, I am needing to finish off a bunch of cosmetics (interior, trim, trunk, etc.). The car has Crager S/S wheels which I like (kind of period correct aftermarket), but no spare in the trunk. Where can I...
