Non-driving but complete, stored outdoors. Last driving in 1995. Power train is a 426 wedge HP with Wieland / inline dual-quad (not cross-ram) Carter AFB and Torque Flite push-button transmission. The engine runs but work to the fuel system will be needed after 25 years of non-use. Body has surface rust from storage and some rot in rear rocker panels. Paint has cracked and bubbled from outdoor storage. Body appears to be clean but the existence of dent repairs, etc, is unknown. Windshield has been broken by a falling branch but surrounding trim is OK. Trunk is clean. Front brakes are the original dual wheel cylinder but were frozen. The front brake shoes have been removed so that the car can roll freely. Interior and split bench cloth seats are ok but with some tears in the headliner. Instrument panel is complete but shows pitting in chrome controls. A/C removed but is included along with various parts.

This car is going to need the mechanical love of a true enthusiast. It was owned and operated by a true lover of the 300 breed who was also a well-known mechanic in southern California. In 1995 it was a trophy winner in local shows. It can be made available for inspection by appointment. I’d be happy to discuss any details of the car’s condition but I am not near the car. My distance from the car makes it impossible for me to preserve and keep it. The California title is clear and can be updated from non-operating status. Asking $4500 or make offer. Additional pictures available.

Looks like with some basic maintenance and a good cleaning you'd have a nice driver there. You say last driving in 1995 but has it been started since then? Price seems pretty fair to me. Good luck with the sale.

Yes, I have had it running late last year. I used a small bottle of fuel and an electric fuel pump. Mostly, the frozen brakes kept me from going farther, lol! I did not exercise the transmission in any way.
I am really most interested in getting this car back into circulation with an enthusiastic owner.
Thanks for your interest!
Jim

A worthy project and priced fair IMO. Do you know the origin of the 426W?
No, unfortunately, I don't know. It was my brother's car and he has since passed away. He had many connections throughout southern California. I don't believe I've seen an invoice for the 426. I'm pretty sure he built it. It's so clean on the inside you could eat off it.

Thought there was no conversations in for sale ads ...:wtf:.
Everyone was asking for additional details about the car, not criticizing the car/price or making off-topic chit-chat. If I was a moderator I wouldn't have a problem with this thread.

And I don't see anything wrong with the questions and answers.
