1966 Chrysler dual exhaust rear side pipes?

I was looking through my service manual for my '66. I plan some time in the future (next year) to put dual exhaust on Goldie. I noticed that in the manual they have them coming from the rear sides and not straight out the rear. On the Imperial they show them coming straight out the back.

I got on the internet and could not find an example of the dual exhaust, as shown in the manual. Has anyone seen an example on a '66? I wanted to see where the exact placement was to the quarter panels and if they looked goofy that way.

That looks like a station wagon diagram that is mislabeled to me.

They actually had a separate one of the single exhaust of the wagon out the side. I wondered about that it may be just a mislabeled picture. That make more since to me.
