1970 Chrysler 300 Convertible - $5,400 - Dorr, Michigan

FB Description

Runs and drives, needs work to be a daily driver. Brake system has a leak, power steering has a leak, top has holes and no back window. New carpet and top are readily available on JC Whitney. Seats can be replaced with powered Chrysler seats from a current model from a junkyard. Rides nice, like a boat.

CM27T0C156796 seems to be still up for sale, 16 weeks after being listed -- perhaps the reason is that the asking price is now up to $6,200? More pics for records.

I believe that price should have gone down. Cool car, but lots of work there.

It appears to me that the car has had a repaint. Of which was painted over multiple areas of bondo. Now the rust is coming out from behind the bondo. Seems this car has rusted twice. Once before the respray, bondo'd up and now it is at the end of the life of the paint and bondo and has it's second level's of rust. I bet this thing is a pig under that cover up.

Otherwise, this car does look ok. But I'm only barely learning the 300's. What's wrong with it, other than the entire body.

At the very least this is a major project and it would require a personal inspection to determine if the asking price is a reasonable starting point for negotiations. Michigan and solid are two words not usually found in the same sentence.

Should get a fish on with that price as long as there’s a little more room.

Seller advised me today (2/12) vehicle was sold and is heading to Europe. We'll see if we see it again there one day.
