The automatic was something like a 282.00 option on my 65 Newport. I think the only option that was more was Air Conditioning. The TF was pretty much an automatic option. Most of the cars with the standard three speed were ordered that way.
Yup yup yup... Laurence's car in Western Canada with the 3 spd manual was ordered by his grandad if I recall correctly.
