[QUOTE="sb61fury, Were is the fuse box located on my '61 will some one here please tell me[/QUOTE]

Anything that required a fuse on my 61 used an inline fuse. There is a junction block in the dash harness in the lower center dash area. Gotta crawl under to see it.

Awesome! It's getting there! Are you going to remove the remaining stainless and chrome prior to painting?

For my safety I decided not to start driving my '61 until I put brand new tires on the car. The tires on the car are at least 14 years old . My dad checked the dates on the tires and he used to be in the tire business. If I need to drive the car it will very short trips on the street were I live

The sand blasting has started and will continue until its done. I got to get more sand I will probably ending putting front disc brakes on the car I do not trust the 1s on the car and I also do not trust the tires they are almost 15 years old.

I totally agree with putting disc brakes and modern tires on it.

If I had the cash I would take it to a restoration shop and have them finish it

It’s a special feeling when you’ve done so much of it yourself. You’re lucky that you have people to teach and help you. It’s coming along fantastically and wouldn’t have been a lot faster at a resto shop unless you had a LOT of money to put into it (still takes a year). I work at an auto restoration shop, so I oughta know! Most people plug money in by dribs and drabs, so their work gets done in fits and starts, so their restoration takes years. Keep up the good work and be patient! It’ll get there. If you win the lotto, let me know and we’ll get it done tout suite!

I know its also saving money in labor as well the damn brakes are locking and its being a pain in the ass for me. I have been looking at converting to front disc brakes on the car. My other '61 fury had front disc brakes and I never had this problem with it . I also know my car did not come with power brakes from the factory they were added on later.

I've always liked underappreciated models such as 61 Plymouths and 62 Chryslers so keep the good work!

Here are some up dates but the car might be back on the road by spring but I am planning on having front disc brakes installed on the car and new tires but here are some photos. My dad is going through the car to make sure the cancer is gone and it is cancer free before last stages of primer and the paint.
