61 Fury Restoration

Here is more progress WP_20150406_006.jpgUnder the trimming I discovered original paint so the last time this car was painted the trimming was never removed. It needs alot of work but it will get there .WP_20150406_007.jpgWP_20150406_008.jpgWP_20150406_016.jpgWP_20150406_014.jpg

In one of the posts you said you were sanding by hand, make sure to always use a block of some type and not just your hand on long panels you will leave finger marks. Keep up the good work

WP_20150413_004.jpgI am using the block but on some parts I am doing this by hand. Inside the doors I am doing by hand. My dad started the air sanding today here are some photosWP_20150413_002.jpgWP_20150413_003.jpgWP_20150413_005.jpgWP_20150413_005.jpgWP_20150413_006.jpgWP_20150413_007.jpg

WP_20150416_004.jpgWP_20150416_005.jpgWP_20150416_006.jpgHere are some more photos I did some sanding inside the engine . I am not removing anything until the charger is running and I switch spots . My car will be moved to the spot were the charger is and the charger will be parked were my car was. The only time I will sand on this car is on my off days from work. My dad is also going to teach me how to use the air sander .

Thanks I used to live 2 counties north of you . I used to live in Brevard County. I miss living in FL . If I was still there then I can drive my '61 year round but I know I have to wax it once a month but in TN its once every 6 months.
I used to live in Palm Bay,FL . There I would have to keep it hidden because of code enforcement. Were I lived we had neighbors that were good and never turned us in when my dad was restoring a car . I remember when a realitor turned my '58 Impala in to the code enforcement . When I got the letter in the mail I asked who turned the car in I was told it was the realitor but I paid her back I went to the house next door with a can of chevy orange spray paint and I spray painted a ghost busters sign on each side. I would of love to seen the look on their faces I would of said that is what you get for not minding your own damn business. I will say this pay backs are hell.
The sign that got painted was the 1 they put on the property when the house is for sale

The type that bitches when you have a non running or unregistered car in your drive way. or if your grass is too high to give you a couple of examples

If I was you, I would edit your orange ghost busters spray paint post and eliminate all of that incriminating evidence you left hanging out there. . . Just sayin'. . .
