Looking some time for a 300L 4spd.
I don,t say the price is to high but everything needs to be done.
I will buy one...............later.

( I have been told by the professionals..... this car is one of 29 Hardtop 4-speeds left in the world !!!! )

I would think the best minds in C bodies are on this board.

They build 96 or 98 4speeds and 29 are known ( 300 lettercarclub )!!
( They knew this one also ).

If I had money and time I would buy this car in heartbeat. My 65 Fury is just as rare 426 4spd car very hard to find

$3500 tops. $1500K if it weren't a 4spd.

I'd be inclined to look further into this were the engine not stuck.....the value hinges upon it having the orig drivetrain, and if it can't be freed then you are talking at least another couple thou just to get it running again, and that's not counting a compl rebuild, just a disassemble/reassemble with fresh gaskets/rings/cleaning. If the block is cracked the value of the car is nearly equivalent to an automatic price-wise. The only way I would go after it at anywhere near this price is if it were a 67-68 full-size AMC 4 speed car (that's my major vice).

If it were running, even out of a gas can, would prob draw his price or close to it.

**EDIT: I saw a prev ad for this that said the eng wouldn't turn....this current ad does not say that.

How does a car, that goes into storage after 8 years, can look so ratty when it comes out? Damaged paint. Torn seats and so forth. My Cougar has been garage kept since 1970, stopped using it as a daily driver in 1972, and it looks pristine. Is storage really another word for cave?

You are right. I forgot the converts. Missed out on one in Lou, Ky in 1980 for $450. Argggg!

$3500 tops. $1500K if it weren't a 4spd.

There was a 67 Monaco 500 vert 4 speed at Carlisle. I would give my 65 300 L htp 4speed AND my 67 Sport Fury htp 4 speed for that car!

$3500 little low. Other figure was correct.

Could translate into 100 k miles for the time on the road in every day driving with the weather conditions of a rust belt state this could already put it on the edge of extinction with the average owner. I happen to have a documented 20k mile car which was driven about 14 years and the owner somehow managed it to wear out the Drivers seat back at the outer edge.
