Came across this 1968 Fury in a AD this morning, pretty straight not Micky Mouse'd molested 4dr sedan at a reasonable price but it was sinking into the ground, but then I saw this and thought WTF? Aftermarket headrests? Someone grafted GM headrest to the seat?
Upon further contemplation I assume that is a Ford bench seat in that Fury.
Change My Mind.

Mirror is wrong too.... pre-1968 my bet.

Had a lumpy left front tire in the blue ‘67 Sport Fury convertible causing the front end to shake, so it has to be changed. New tire is on the rim on the left side in the second picture then the old tire is on the right…..

My 1967 Fury3 it has a 383 with 4 bbl carb. It had Buick rims on it when I bought the car. They have been replaced now with Chrysler 15x7 rims with 225/15 70R 15 tires. The front Bench is broke down on the driver side. So I’m replacing it with a set of low back bucket seats from Summit. Until the day comes I ready to restore it.

Hello and :welcome: from Connecticut! Nice car, and the Buick rims didn’t actually look all that bad on it. Best of luck with what you do to it.

Finally posting a pic of mine...the paint is good from 30 feet away, lol. There's rust here and there, and surface rust all underneath. The front and rear windscreens also leak :D
Mechanically though, it's in tip-top shape. Almost all the brake lines have been replaced, save for the long one going from the distribution block to the rear axle.
ECI front disc brake conversion since I plan to drive it fairly hard
383-2 converted to a 4 bbl, AVS2 1906 on a knockoff Weiand 8008 intake
Suspension rubbers all refreshed, just waiting on the rear shock washers to arrive then I'll finally be able to take it to the exhaust shop to make a nice H-pipe exhaust. So far it's looking like 2.25 inch diameter pipes all the way down.
Firm Feel stage 2 steering box and new steering coupler installed, drives great although the power steering assist seems to sometimes lose strength, I probably need to really crank the steering pump bracket as hard as I can before tightening it.
Electrically, has had the bulkhead connector bypass done, solid state instrument gauge voltage limiter, alternator solid state voltage regulator, FBO ignition box, Carb Cheater, amongst a few other things to make it a great daily.
Shout out to @65CopCar, @BuckeyeBarracuda and @challenger340 - the former two for the 15x7 police steelies and again 65CopCar for sending me some small things out of goodwill, and the latter for the reasonably priced police hubcaps that were in great condition. As well as everyone else that has helped me on this forum, directly and indirectly. Big John and CBODY67 are two I can think off the top of my head, sorry if I've missed you but you know exactly who you are.
All in all, the wheels and the antenna scratch an itch I'm not sure how to describe. It just looks right.

I always wanted an Australian Dodge Phoenix. Imagine driving into a show and confusing everyone!
"That's a neat Fur-wait what...the steering wheel on the other side...? And it's got a Monaco dash??"
Is the chrome strip above the body line original or peel and stick?
Original it seems, judging by pics of other same year models I've seen
