Pulled dash apart to fix a couple things and found these two boxes. After about 3 hours in wiring diagrams, parts list and eBay. I found the little silver box is the 8 track player crossover unit and the black box is for the headlight sentinel. Just in case it helps someone. 1969 300 convertible.

The Cletron box is what makes the three front dash speakers work as R, L, and CTR for the factory stereo. The rear speaker is a dual-gang item rather than the single-gang item for the non-stereo radio.

The "GUIDE" item would be something which was purchased from GM's "Guide" division, which would be the automatic headlight item.
