72 Imperial Beer

I’m not sure how many are aware that Breckinridge Brewery makes and sells a 72 Imperial Chocolate Stout. I’ve tried it before, personally Im not a fan, but I just think it’s cool to own the car on the box.

I’ve known about this stuff for years but have never seen it on a shelf here in my area. I’ve even had a couple of stores say they’d try to get it for me but no luck. I just figured that by this time it was no longer available.

Does it taste like chocolate? Or is that just the color?

It tastes like Guinness but sweeter. I’m not really into dark beers but it was not horrible.

Hell, I need to try that! I like Guinness, and a sweeter form of that would really hit the spot, methinks!

Yes, it seems to be seasonal.
And maybe not being sold in Europe at all...

Having spent many a summer at knoebles means im in the area if you can source this please message me would love to grab some. Wonder if they make a 70 it would be darker less smog equipment.

As far as I can see, the latest online, present-tense references to ’72 Imperial (beer, that is) date from the mid-2010s. I’m guessing that it’s discontinued. Rats.
