Normally I would post this into each individual car build thread, but that's a hell of a thing to try and do with this...
Start with the top of the month...
Drove up to Midland to look at what was or should have been a 440 powered New Yorker, instead I found a completely roached, bastardized 69 New Yorker with a mystery B engine in it, it looks like it has 383 manifolds, water pump valve covers etc, but a 400 intake, etc. It's certainly not a $1k car....the racoon **** and the rockers sitting flush with the ground tell me that. The inch thick body filler in the sides of it and the fact the fender tag doesn't match the dash concerned me...
I opted to pass on it and its stable mate...I think its the first time I've ever driven up somewhere to look at something and didn't buy it....I think I'm evolving..
On the way home I stopped in at National Moparts on my way back and got a tour from Nigel, grabbed a Pitman arm for the 73 So I can wrap up the stub rebuild and get it to the point that the drivetrain can go back in...
Happened to find a 73 fury hood in Nigel's scrap bin that was rotten on the bottom but good under the front lip where my original is rotted, asked Nigel what he wanted for it and was told to take it.
Thanks again Nigel, and thanks for the invite back up to do some hunting...
