Another orphan found our driveway...

All I can say is if it is anything like my 76 was, use the rear tank first, then switch to the main, or you could be sitting there with a full auxilliary tank, a bad solenoid, and then no fuel. I learned that the hard way, way back when. I ran out of gas with a full secondary tank on my 2 month old truck. The default, no power situation is main tank gets drawn down.

Yes no that you mention it, I had problems with the tank switching as well. I can't remember exactly, but I think it was use the secondary first.
Looking at the truck again, wow, sure is a beast!

Appreciate the info on the tanks! Will have to take a peak at em when its here.

I'm sure I'll bug you guys when the time comes lol.

We brought this beast home the other day, right before the hurricane hit. She made the drive home luckily. The battery ground cable is junk, and didn't want to start once home. I jerry rigged it to get her moving again.

The next day the old eddy 1405 that was on her puked her guts all over the engine. After a trip up to oriellys, got a new 1406 on top. She fired right up.

The kickdown linkage is binding up, and the throttle cable is VERY jerry rigged. Ordered a new matching set of lokar cables to go on, along with a TON of other parts on the way.

The other rims don't want to fit. Lug holes arn't big enough, and I don't want to drill them out. We sourced a new set of firestone tires for the original 16.5" wheels. Only 2 tires availble new in this size. The firestones, and some chinease brand "Road king" lol.

Truck needs a lot of work. Discovered a ton of rust hiding under the front windshield ugh...

Think it'll be good for Sabrina though. Something for her to have fun with, and learn how to tinker a little.

The marks from the old gun rack are still visible on the rear window lol I'm really liking this truck! It has a lot of character. Sabrina has named it Mayble.

Looks great Zac and the good news is there are 23 years worth of production of that body style out there so parts shouldn't be a problem!!

I have one never been installed genuine Mopar 16.5 wheel sitting around that I bought in 76. I'm still watching for my old truck to come up for sale.

Been a BUSY, and long week. Been doing a ton of work to this old girl.

Rear end serviced
Sway bar link bushings
Front calipers, pads, and rotors
Master cylinder
POS, and NEG battery cables
Lokar cables installed
New carb tuned
Air cleaner
New tires
Wheel covers cleaned, and polished
Some more I'm forgetting lol

The driver side valve cover was leaking bad. Put a new gasket in, and it made it worse. Shes gushing oil out right onto the exh manifold. Makes for a hell of a smoke show going down the road lol. Tomorrow's plan is to rtv the hell out of it I guess..

The lokar cables made the biggest improvement. Its like we unleashed 100 more HP putting these on. With the throttle cable working correctly now, along with the kickdown working correctly, its a diff truck. I already have the kickdown cable for the Blumo. Might do the whole swap over like this. I like it alot.

2 of the wheels have some damage, and cant be balanced. Need to track down some. She rides alot better though!

Took her on her first real trip up to town tonight on her own. She did good. Have a drivetrain vibration to find.

Tomorrow's plan is to also flush the radiator, and block. New hoses water pump, and t stat going in. Along with new belts

Rear brake lights arnt working. Once i get it figured out, along with the rest mentioned I believe she is ready for the road. Gotta take her to my buddy's place with a lift, and service the trans.

Wow... you are not fooling around... must have been an "executive order" from "management"...

Or you're trying to get it all bought before the next CC statement shows up...

The joy of it is, I really do get to spend somebody else's money $$ hahaha.

Sabrina has deff dropped some coin on it. Much more to go too. Right now we don't have a spare vehicle like we always do. Don't like not having one. Plus we already took it up to the dmv, and got her all legal, and insured. Just waiting for it to be ready.

Damn t stat housing broke. New one should be in around 5pm....
