"Chevrolet model year production peaked at 1,515,177 cars. Calender year sales were counted at 1,522,536 units. Chevrolet outsold Ford by only 136 units on a calendar year basis, but Ford actually built more 1957 spec models then Chevrolet."
*reference standard catalog of American cars.

o.k......... BUT I guess what I am saying here is wasnt 1957 the best sales year to that point for the American Auto Industry?

Lets see the full profile, I'll hold my tongue till I see it.

You thought I forgot..........

I think this is one of the few cars where any one of a dozen combinations would all look great. Probably the only one that should be taboo is Road Wheels.

I wouldn't change a thing. She looks perfect just as she sits. Get rid of the one RWL & move on.

I like the wheels and baby moons.

I had a 73 Chrysler New Yorker years ago that was missing a lot of side trim. We filled the trim holes and painted it green to match the race car I towed with it at the time. I had some nice black wheels and baby moons and big black wall radials.

It surprised me, but it really looked "right" on that car.

It looks right on this car too.

No. Even though those early ones were called Road Wheels, I still think of them as Magnums. And they do look fantastic on these cars. Especially with Redlines. The Road Wheels I was referring to were the ones from the 70's. And if I had the money, it really would have bee 15" "Magnums" and Red Lines.

You don't have any idea how much I wanted to suggest that's what you should do but I was holding back from respect, as is our tradition

I spared no expense on the NYB. I spent stupid crazy money and anally obsessed over "correctness" and perfection. Now that it's all finished, I just want to relax and have fun with this one. And I'm enjoying the ever loving crap out of BitterSweat. I still can't believe she's mine. So what if I can't afford Magnums and Redlines for her. I couldn't when I was 20 either :-D
