Boab on tour again..Look out Detroit!

Stunning 59 Fury with record player, swivel seats, and powered by a dual quad 361.
The show does not allow cars showing with hoods open.
So no engine pics.
I am guessing when new somebody wanted a 300 letter car but could not afford it. So why not load up a Fury?? Lol!

They were giving rides in a Huey to the public.
A donation of 125.00 to the museum got you up in the air for15 minutes

Original paint 69 340 Swinger 4spd.
I thanked the owner for showing its wheel covers since they were the first to go where slots or Cragars take their place on day two of ownership, lol.

great pics, thanks for posting. When are you making your way back home?

It was an honour to be invited to this show and be among war vet planes that saw action.
The Boab and I have 2 aviation museum visits under our belts.
The first was the Air and Space museum in Washington where I visited the Enola Gay back in 2018..

I just had a very cool visit to my garage by a very very nice 68 Chrysler Newport. Much nicer in person than photos show.
Thanks for the visit CBARGE, I am sorry I got distracted with the door spring issue. Drop by anytime for a rest and refreshments in future.

Well thanks for showing me around.
It was nice to finally meet you in person.
Till Volo...

The U S. Border was backed up 45 minutes.
Engine was getting angry as no air was moving through the rad.
Defrost was on blast and kept it in neutral and increased the rpm to pull air when not moving.
Shutting it off would result in coolant spewing out.
So I kept her running

Sounds familiar…

Used to have the same issue with Poppy. Non-AC G-code -> 19” rad, 4-blade fan and no shroud. That setup is way undersized, as @saforwardlook has explained as he shared his experience engineering fusies back in the day.

Adding a better fan than the original (which I still have) and a shroud solved the issue in my 318-equipped 1970 Polara. Dunno whether the same could help the BOAB?

Boab originally had a 22 inch rad.
I swapped in a 26 inch rad and matching core support.
Air dam between bumper snd lower ead and shroud with 7 blade fan.
I Diagnosed my rad cap does not hold peessure well hence the blow off whrn engine is off.
Simple fix.

I immediately noticed the Terraplane coupe you pictured.

Here is a bit of Hudson trivia for you all - The recipient of the very first Terraplane was Amelia Earhart, in 1932. It was a 1933 model.

Hudson introduced the inexpensive Terraplane in 1932, hoping to reverse sales declines caused by the Depression. For a car with an aviation-inspired name, there was no better endorsement than that of Amelia Earhart. The famed pilot christened the first Terraplane with a bottle of gasoline in a ceremony on July 22, 1932. Hudson gave Earhart her own Terraplane in appreciation.
