I pulled the cam out of the 361 today. The grind number was 2402722. I do not know what brand it is. I googled the hell out of it and cannot seem to get the specs off it. It looks to be in great shape so I would like to put it in the 383 build, and save some dough, but would like some hard numbers on it. If anyone knows I would really appreciate it. Thanks in advance, Jake.

looks like the sequence of a chrysler part number. i wouldn't reuse it. looks like there is some life left in it but not much.

Yep, agreed. I'd say that's a Ma Mopar original bumpstick.

Look at lobes there almost polished flat. That engine ether had a ton of miles, cam wasn't broken in right, or didn't run a high zinc oil.

It's difficult to say how worn it really is without putting it back in or setting it up on some v-blocks with a dial indicator and actually record some numbers. I wouldn't use it though.

the discolored spots are the wear. the hardened coating is wearing through

I would not use it again cams are relatively cheap. That one probably has less than .425 lift get a Mopar performance 383/440 magnum resto cam. It will work well with the 516 heads you have I still suggest all new one piece valves and increasing the exhaust valve to at least 1.74 over the 1.60 they have stock.
