Dodge EV Day 2021

Challenger Tomahawk Is A Sweet Name For Dodge's Next EV Muscle Car

Mopar is going to have a final hurrah with a high powered ICE next year. Along with a hybrid and an EV muscle car. I would think that a Jeep product might be the hybrid variant.

Will be interesting to see how NASCAR handles this electrification.
We all know the Nhra will f.... It up, just doing whatever Chevrolet wants.
NASCAR has to deal with Ford and Toyota, both of which have very different views on their products.
Ford was first to ditch cars in general, throw their super name on yet another bland crossover because it was electric. I believe Ford will be the last holdout to kill a V8 powered ICE car and it will be the Mustang.
Toyota is married to the hybrid thing till the bitter end. They will be selling 18 different Camry's one that runs on gas, all the way to one that runs on portajohn water, and every variation in between.
Chevrolet will just backward engineer what is cheapest and marketable 2 years after everyone else has lost their *** in this electric toilet swirling mess created by govt sanctions that will ultimately speed up the process while bogging it down unnecessarily.
Fake exhaust sounds, like a child's toy, LOL.

I'd be embarrassed to use that.
But everyone under 35 couldn't even conceive why that would bother me.
That marketing idea should come back to bite them in the ***. Like every comedy/satire writer should be making fun of such a silly idea to promote a car who's purpose is to eliminate engines. Like I have said before I'm not against EV, but this hard deadline BS is ridiculous. Bring them online against the ICE so you are not nuking your entire customer base and let the tech geeks, and eco nerds buy them, and by then they will have found their direction, be improved.
This I needed it yesterday mentally needs to go.

It is amazing how close to the concept, the 2025 Charger 2dr looks. Both EV and IC motors are available. Love the @Fratzog logo:

The Six Pack is intriguing. AWD and 550HP. Too bad the Hurricanes are junk and kicking rods in wagoneers at incredibly low miles.

When I was getting my driveshaft replaced under warranty, there was one in there with 1700 miles on it. Complete engine failure. My buddies cousin who is my LX specialist, said Stellantis was having him dissect, determine, and document the failure for research purposes.

They left the door open for a Gen 4 Hemi, I hope it happens.

You can buy rods aluminum or steel that can drive 1000+ miles and make multiple passes in drag and drive racecars making 3500-4500 HP and a major manufacturer has their engineers castrated so bad their rods can't make 10,000 miles. Excellent plan! Ruin any reputation to make EVs look better.
Wonder how much back door money is making this scenario possible.
I would not buy a car from any of these thieves, no matter the name on the grill.

It will be interesting to see how long the EV vehicles stay in production. Sales of most are tanking due to high costs and high financing charges and dealer lots are full of them. Lots of articles about very discounted sales of used EVs as no one wants to take a chance on a battery replacement. Another example of idiot politicians wanting to force the public into vehicles that are not practical for many. A couple of my neighbors bought them and they are afraid to park in the garage for fear of burning their house down from a battery fire (Teslas). Batteries go dead about 10F which takes them out of service on cold days in the north and mid-west. Insurance companies have been factoring in a lot of rate increases for fire and collision, many EVs are totaled if there is any battery damage. We are also starting to see major rate increases for electricity as utilities are trying to ramp up green energy projects to supply the projected increased demand for fleet conversion to EVs. Here in the Northwest we have seen a 30% rate increase over the last two years with another 8% increase requested for 2025. I will drive my gas pot until the wheels fall of and then I will put them back on.

I gotta hand it to the Asian car companies. Sticking with the hybrid power train seems to be the better business move. The big three, which I hate to talk **** about, but they just make the worst decisions. They are like a 5 year old, they can't figure out how to compete. Then walk away from the problem and mom and dad (government) will come and bail them out again.
Take Ford, I have owned that crap for 40+ years and it's still a $10 dollar stock. How much was a 1987 dollar worth in today's dollars? I would have been better off drinking away the whole tax refund, better stories.

They will continue to produce them but will also have gas and hybrid versions. Hybrids seems to be the sweet spot at this time for those who want to get to electrics eventually.

Love those 2 door models. Make the 4 doors a hardtop and I might be interested.
