Honestly, A 300 J with a manual... would be a miserable driver. My 4 spd L is really awful in most driving situations.

I'll take it off your hands and gladly be miserable every time I drive.

So, NEVER a 4 spd J in production. End of discussion there. 64 was the FIRST year for the A 833 NP 4 speed trans. And yes I do have one of the 4 speed 65 L four speeds. 96 coupes and 12 convertibles.

Oh, not that I "dislike" my L 4 speed. Just not a good driver. The gearing is awful. Know a club member that has had one since new. Clutch is too small for the weight of the beast.
