Been looking for a new project. Was talking to my engine builder about it. He says "I know of something that will keep you busy and the car is solid" So I went and looked at it. The price was so reasonable I couldn't refuse. A 1971 Dodge Demon A body. I want something that is rather rude compared to my 69 Fury and I think I found it. It will be so nice to work on a car I can put my tools on the hood. I plan on installing a manual tranny , most likely a 4 speed. It has a 8 3/4 rear end. Was a drag car for a time also. Thinking about a stroker 360 but have a working 440.... one hundred pound difference I hear. This will have headers and electronic ignition and what engine TBD.

Sweeeet. I love em B-bodies, specially the Duster Demon kind. Awesome. Love to have a daily ride like this one day.

I like the Demon grill and tail lights better than Dusters, even though I've owen 3 Dusters and no Demons.

While a 440 would be the balls, use a SB.
Your knuckles will appreciate it.
Nice score. Ummm...dump the scoops, lol.

My very first project I never finished was a 71 Demon. GY3 slant six car. Looking back I should have just gotten an engine in it and made it a ratty muscle car. Oh well. Lesson learned. It was a good car to learn some stuff on.

Nice Score.

Go with the 440. Big Block A bodies RULE!
