Looks like a nice car. You might want to check into the avaliability and cost of that windshield, it looks expensive to me. Probably need a seal too.

He loves to drive my cars but i told him that's coming to an end time to get your own and he wants a FL
I also found a nice 69 fury but he didn't like that at all .
Also he is not a good mechanic but good at following directions and i can work with that.

Luckily, the 61 Newports seem to have survived a lot more frequently than other FL era cars. (and always seem to be white lol) You shouldn't have that hard of time finding a windshield for that car. (especially being a 4 door sedan) I used to have a four door hardtop that had a 361 in it. Love their electroluminescent dashes.

Am I hearing $400 for the glass including the installation? If it'z tinted+shaded go for it, That stainless iz ah bear to R+R. Salvage the seal too, Farz I know their are no new replacements for those years.(Same piece of glass '61 thru' '64) Pilkington Classic Glass on the south side of Columbus, Oh. wantz another hundred just for the glass pluss shipping. Jer

Well i added up what it would cost to put the Newport on the road and it was a little much for the son inlaw so he decided against buying it oh well .

But i have a buddy looking hard at it, he is trying to let go of that "GM Bias" ............................... i guess it must be as hard as quitting smoking.

NOT, Tell your car-bud It'z just ah combination of Nicoderm and Cialis AND STEAL BOWELZ, and tell him to stay the hell out of the dam floating bathtub. I bought ah new '66 Riv that still givez me heart palpitations and ah tongue woody so I can appreciate thingz that the general put on the street too. Just let your S-I-L know Hiz primary job is to raise your Grand Baby's and to see that your Daughter livez ah good life. There'z alwayz time for the toyz, Jer
