Couldn’t make Carlisle but we did head over to the Lake Michigan shoreline. Not completely uneventful as far as troublefree motoring is concerned but no towing equipment was used in the 400 mile round trip.

So I figured it was time to share a few of the parts from the recent horde that I bought that I’m keeping for the eventual restoration of my car. These are either NOS or parts that were rechromed and not used.
Also included but not pictured is an almost perfect original rear bumper that will hopefully look good enough in between those NOS bumperettes that it saves me some money on the chrome budget. I’m also keeping a pair of NOS cornering light lenses, reverse lenses, front turn signal lenses, taillight lenses and a perfect set of skirts as spares in the event something bad were to happen in the future.
There was also a pair of new weatherstripping for the rear windows where they meet the door glass, a glovebox vanity mirror which my car didn’t come with and a low fuel sending unit which I was missing.
I’ll probably keep a handful of switches and an instrument cluster too.

Those may have been the things that excited me most, those and the NOS door handles with fresh walnut appliqués. NFS!
