They have a life expectancy, big truck engines use them and when certain points swell up your supposed to replace them. Much like the vavletrain on a /6 nobody ever touches them and they are fine. There is another group that say they should be replaced every 500,000 mi on a truck rezoning is silicon breaks down after so much heat and cooling.
