Newby 1970 Dodge Polara Convertible

She may be the nicest thing I ever owned. She also is one of the nicest originals left, of which I am very proud of ..... I searched a long time.

You remember Marks exhaustive search of two to three years? I searched over twenty years

Does Mark still have the white one? Hope he is doing OK.

Its a perfect picture

All 3 of your cars are fanstanstic Dave.

Your sig pic is awesome too by the way

I don't have that number. The insider that put these numbers together is a scarce member here and other boards. It took me many many years to get the numbers I have for the 70...

I have asked for numbers for the 71s but I have nothing yet. 2024 1971 Polara Brougham two doors built. The 383 was standard, 440 optional. Bucket seats were also optional in the 71 Brougham only.

In all the years of looking at these Bob I have only seen a couple of other non police 440s

I know of another 71 Brougham with a t-code 440

Dave will confirm it but there are a few cars on the road in your state. There was another for sure on the road until about 5 years ago in California when the former owner Bill sold it. It's been in hiding since.

There was a question raised by Matt about a rule when the Y codes were applied. Maybe you can shed some more light on this.

Bills car went to Sweden around 2010... He sold it a few years before that to a buyer in California then that guy sold it to Sweden. It was originally a PA car. Bill bought that on the cheap too, $1,800 cheap. I turned it down because I was told it had a 318 and drum brakes..its a 383 with discs, that was in 2000292367 2011 right rear Sweden.jpg
