My CHP project doesn't have a place to put a trunk light. I know that even if the car doesn't have that option it still has a place for it.

I have looked at at least 5 cars all 1969 CHP cars that do not have it yet every no package car I look at (about 4) have the provision yet not punched.

When I say no provision i mean not even the lobe. This picture was taken during bodywork but it was that way. How much could they have saven not putting it there? The piece that has it is about a 1' long and has a lip, tooling cost alone would have cost more than they might save.

Has aybody ever seen this maybe on a non package car?

Thanks,

Just curious if there are cars that do not fit my assessment of package (police) cars not having it and non package car having it.

I was curious and just checked on my car, a 1972 U code Colorado Fury. No trunk light provision on mine as well.

Curious, I never knew they were there... My dads 74 dart had the light there
