Dr Hook's Ray Sawyer dies aged 81

Ray Sawyer - the eye-patch wearing singer with Dr Hook & the Medicine Show in the 1970s - has died, aged 81.

Died peacefully in his sleep

Even if we can replicate the DNA faithfully, the formative experience which made these souls such luminous giants CAN'T be reproduced in the sad and ugly world that has superseded the one these folks grew up in. But we CAN REMEMBER THEM, REVERE THEM AND TEACH OUR CHILDREN TO AVOID OUR MISTAKES!
