I have a 66 Newport sedan, and for some reason all of a sudden the right rear door won't open from the inside OR the outside. It has opened and closed, locked and unlocked fine since I got it and multiple people have gotten in an out. But I went out yesterday to roll the windows down and it won't open. The lock was engaged either, but even if I push the lock up and down I can hear it click and engage but no both the inside and outside door handles do nothing.

Any tips for figuring out how to get it to open?

Have a friend push the handle button in on the out side and give it a hard kick from the inside of the door. I'll bet your latch and striker are sticking and keeping the door from releasing. Once open use some penetrating oil and lubricate it.

Went out to drive the car last night, figured "what the heck" and tried to open the door, and it opened as normal. =/ I went ahead and sprayed a lock lubricant on the latches.
