I have my eye on a 68 New Yorker that has factory disc brakes. I have yet to turn up any place that sells them. Does any one know of a supplier, or will they need to be changed out for something more common? Thanks, Dave

Thanks, I'd maybe be better off just finding a drum brake car and doing a disc conversion.

If you were going to do that why find another car? Might as well swap the disks on the car you have found. The work would be the same on either car, but you would already have a disk prop valve on the New Yorker, as well as a disk Master Cylinder. You would have to replace both on a drum car.

But, before you do all of that, do the rotors on the car need to be replaced, or will a turning do?

69-73 spindles will fit your car after you swap the lower ball joints to 65 and up drum brake style. Same ball joint as 69-73 disc. That orphan Budd lower joint is BIG $$$ rebuilt.
