1948 ex-Greyhound GMC "Silverside (PD 3751 I think, could have been a PD 4151). Couple thousand total built, 1947 and 1948.

This one caused my brain to leak through my nose. I love these late 1940's "Silversides". Not gonna ever have one, but this one is a particularly well-done one example .. lot of the original look remaining, fresh mechanicals, digital age updates.

I am a fan. I like dreamin".:poke:

A. Drivetrain and suspension underwent the following:

- The Detroit 671 diesel pusher was rebuilt
- Alison automatic transmission was install

- Added electric Power steering system
- Generator converted to 24 volt Alternator
- All new wiring required to run motorhome
- New Inverter, generator, control panels front and rear.
- Shore power water and sewage all new
- LED interior and exterior lighting throughout

B. Interior features include:

-Air ride driver seat
- 360 camera system
- Air horns
- 4 person baget that converts to bed
- 4 person jack knife sofa/ bed
- 4 person sleeper sofa
- Shades throughout
- Galley kitchen
- Bathroom with shower
- 2 TV and audio system
- All the window glass was replaced with dual pain
- Upgraded to electric windshield wipers

C. Exterior features include:

- Lighting under each luggage compartment
- Electric awning
- TV, Gas grill, camping tables and chairs
- Outside air and water hook ups
- Exterior painted and polished than ceramic coated
- Roof received 3 coats of water proof sealer

As an admitted tire kicker who can't play in this end of the pool ($165K ask - reasonable, but beyond me): I have two beefs.

"Only" a 6-71 Detroit. Looks to still use propane.

Otherwise, exactly as I would have done it. Doesn't look like a "cathouse" & natural interior colors wouldn't offend my mom/daughters/"posse" as a traditional "man cave" decor would. :)

I like the exterior. They did a good job of polishing all that aluminum siding.

The interior is a little too monotone for my taste... but I do like the "BarcaLounger" driver's chair!

Has everything I would want, but I'd have to set up the rear as a permanent bedroom.
thats what i am doing in my Scenicruiser

the third level is (will be, gotta relocate the head) part of the "master suite" with a fold out queen sofa bed (i.e., i will not put in a fixed bed but rather use the third room for sleeping and socializing most of the time).

i am also keeping the rear windows AS windows (they will be one-way).

more use as a "den" than a bedroom. thats what the hope is anyway

PBM1 - Scenicruiser Party Bus - Pacific Bus Museum

Somebody did tell me Redbull DID retire their PD-4501. apparently that was like 8 years ago. it sat for 6 years before the Pacific Bus Museum in Fremont, CA got it in 2023 as a gift from Redbull (Red bull got a modern bus to replace it).

Redbull spent $300k doing all that stuff to their 4501, turning it into a "party" advertising bus, then they give it to PBM (gotta be more to that story).

Ridden hard and put away wet. I feel sorry for the sap that had to clean the snail trails off those vinyl seats after every trip.

not a problem with my crew ... they just leave behind butterscotch candy wrappers and a loose skittle or two. low maintenance.:poke:

I spotted another one of these "Trek" RVs last week, and it, too had a kitty on the back.

"Comes from the factory with your choice of cat mural"

Never heard to these before you brought up.

The Safari_Trek brand has been gone for 20 years (Monaco aquired Safari in 2001 and may have continued with the brand until THEY went bankrupt in 2009) , but apparently the first ones (1991 - 2001 model years) have a small cult following.

A bit too small/squarish for my tastes, it did have a metal body (vs. fiberglass).

One for sale below, typically configured: 1995 Safari Trek "Pathfinder" model

Last one. I only put this here as a contrast to #1,543.

2019 Entegra Aspire

The ask is $270 Big, you can see where your money is going. Not overdone, but definately blinged up purdy good ... even IF I had the lettuce, though, to throw at just one thing that would sit more than it would get driven (even when I am retired), it would NOT be on something like this one.

Well done rig, if it was "free" I'd sport it (though on the long-ish side at nearly 45 ft without a "C" hanging on in tow)... but its just not "me", inside or out. Opinions of course may vary:poke:.

Don't dig it? Lots of others here.:)
