Sport Fury GT or Chrysler 300 Hurst

Since this is about dream cars, I'm pretty much going with a convertible Hemi Cuda, auto with console delete and cassette recorder that spent its early life in France and DID NOT SELL at Mecum Indy 2021 for $3.5M.

Never thought I’d see that I’d dream of owning a Plymouth while lamenting that it’s more expensive than a Rolls of the same year.

Fury comes on all colors and interiors.

That, and my preference for the Fury’s lines where the roof meets the quarter panels, makes it my choice by a small margin.

Which do you prefer as your dream car; a Chrysler 300 Hurst or a 70 Plymouth Sport Fury GT? Both are interesting and rare cars for sure , but what do you prefer. I suppose the Hurst has the nicer interior from the Imperial 2 door hardtop.. and the Gt comes with the 440 six pack as an option. You could choose your painting schemes As well

Got my license in 1970. Dad bought a 'leftover' 70 Sport Fury 2 door (not GT) in bronze with black vinyl roof and interior. Loved that car, even with its 318 motor. That got me into fuselage cars. I now have a console equipped 300 Hurst with tilt-telescopic-rim-blow wheel, AM-FM, and all the usual power options with A/C. Chrysler is much fancier than the Plymouth, especially on the inside. Love that leather and the TNT 440, but if I happened upon a GT I would try to get it. Rarely see either for sale anymore, it seems.

I never was a big fan of the Hurst 300 so would go with the Fury. just never saw too many of them in great condition. I am sure they are out there but have hidden from me over the years. You see those Hurst 300 cars all the time. I passed up many of them when buying other classic cars over the years. They used to be a dime a dozen but now are pricing too high in my opinion

The elusive "Newport 440" package would be a T-code. The U-code TNT 440 could be ordered on any Chrysler except wagons & Imperial.

This 4dr sedan is as rare as a 6bbl and the only one I know of that survived!

i know, and he's helped me with others who know i am looking, @Samplingman knows I am looking for '70 "T" code (as @67valiant 100 correctly points out), with A67 package, called "Newport 440".

Been looking for 25 years (off and on .. now I'm old and sun getting low in the sky, so to speak.

I'd prefer a coupe, but would look at any sedan that turned up. They added a T code option to Newp in '71 where '70 only (oddly) they offered the 'T" in Newp.

darndest unicorn still on my list -- i assume as a mid-MY option (they wanted a 440 "regular" in Newp size/price class cuz GM put 455 in Lesabre that year) so maybe not many even made, and U code Newps might be higher on organ donor lists to extent any remained?

Reminder if anyone who sees one but doesnt buy it, shoot me a PM please? Would i look at a '70 (or any MY, fusie) "U" code Newp? Sure, if not too big a project.

Anyway, I think, however, this car below is gone? Yes?

I saved it nick of time last year as the previous owner was about 80% the way to yanking the drivetrain from it.

The original owner was a nuclear engineer for the military and order this car to tow his two racecars back in the day!

'71 Sport Fury GT. Nicer interior, 370 HP 440, bolder stripes and a more intricate grille and tail lamps. Also only 375 produced. Having said that, I'd love to have a '70 GT or S/23 or a Hurst.

As I already have a 70 SFGT, I would definitely love a 300 Hurst. Visually, the 300 with the hood scoop and rear deck spoiler is a home run for me. The lack of optional colors is not an issue with me. They are classy looking, visually striking cars.
