Have any of you done separate vacations from your spouse? I wanna go here, but she wants to go there.

In May of last year, I cruised to Alaska with my oldest brother. My wife hates cold (defined by her as anything below 70 degrees F). So, she went to New Hampshire in July for five-day visit to see one of her friends, who was recovering from surgery at that time. Worked out great for both of us, actually.

So, what have you all done? Separate vacations that worked out for you (or not); or do you always vacation together, no matter what?

Occasionally my wife has gone on a trip with her daughter, went ona criuse with sisters and mother few months back and going on another cruise in may to alaska with her mother. Thats when I vacay and work on my 300 or putter around on my tractor! Other than that we go together! Been together 20 yrs and been on 5 cruises together and been ALL over these United States!
