Turns out to be a professional piece with a title by the photographer..

My first thought was fishing poles until i saw whole pic and a bumper strap attachment. Now with a confirmation of the year, that was smack dab in the CB craze.

Yeah, i vote CB antennae. not sure why they need 2 of 'em, :)

advertised as "moving into Baylor Unitiversity in the 1960's". Looks like unloading a early 60's Buick sedan parked in front of a vintage mopar?

As I understand it, it increases the range. A single antenna will have a round pattern of transmitting and receiving. Dual antennas have an oval shaped pattern that increases how far ahead and behind you can receive and transmit. Supposed to stop dead spots from passing trucks too.

Of course, it could just be for looks too.

Tangent.

Theses happened to be in same place. Two women spot themselves, as high schoolers in 1960 in Virginia, at their 50th HS Reunion.

I aint been out 50 years yet (creepin' up on it though) but i can count on one hand people i still keep in touch with from HS.

pretty cool (check out hood louvers on whatever sled that is) anyway.

1954 Hudson. I am quietly looking at 50-53 Hudsons. My mechanic posse is throwing cold water on it. I might start a thread on it in retirement. :)

advertised as a 1952 Opel, in Belgium. dunno about that .. those look like the Alps, but they'd be many 100's of miles south. I recall nothing this talll in THAT country.
