What the heck is it? part number 2428437

This was one a bag marked " right remote mirror" .The mirror turns out to be a left.

That part number is likely a casting number and not a part number making it harder to source. From the sequence definitely a 60's item from a 64-66 Imperial or NYR

Side view mirror base but for which model I don’t know. The ones on my ‘64 are not that thick. Could be earlier or maybe Chrysler?

im going to say 60-63 chrysler or imperial

It is a good fit for my left and right 1964 mirrors. But is thinner than the base my left side has.
