Engine bay restoration.

I love pictures of the anatomy.

Looks just like the front of my car!
Only a red engine.....

Worked all weekend, but not on Goldie. I finally finished a 5 weeks job that required a hour drive each way. I am officially outside painting the rest of the summer/fall. That means rain days are for Goldie.

I don't think I have ever hoped for rain like I am now. Chance of rain nearly every day this week. Progressed a little further than last photo. Sway bar installed, started installing the power coated brackets for the alternator and power steering pump. It is getting quicker with less parts to sort through. I thought I took tons of pictures but not as many as I should have.

I understand more now about the interruptions slowing down the restoration process especially with the one man shows most of us have going here!

I had a lawn tractor to repair and working most of yesterday, then a toilet to fix at my son's place

I'm not even thinking of the "Honey do list"!!
:eusa_shifty:

Interruptions, I hear ya. Besides building my little shed so I can clean out my larger shed, I am painting. Also my nephews car won't start. I need to retire just to catch up.

I did something I rarely do today. I did nothing. Well I read some Mopar mags. Oh, I forgot, I had to to solder some wires on my radio headphones. That's it.

You need to do that every once in a while to keep you sanity. You sound like me even when you do nothing you actually do something. I did get a few hours in on Saturday and resolved a couple of lingering problems.

Little more progress and a before photo. Notice the pride from the factory applying the air cleaner sticker.

Looks great Mike .... I would have been tempted to put the air filter sticker back on crooked, gives it a little character.
The jack instruction sticker im Jazebelles trunk looked like it had been installed by a monkey ...... I put it back the same way. Were talking UAW workers here.

Are you gonna have Goldie up and running for the trip to Michigan in late July.......? We look forward to meeting you at the Concours d'Elegance.

I am feeling a completion day is in my near future. I am going to take some days off to shoot for a July 4th parade.

I couldn't bring myself to put it on crooked. It looked like a 50 % off sticker thrown on an item on the bargain shelf.

I had my 10 year old niece install mine without instruction just put it there. Not perfect but perfect!
