74-78 Newports being stripped, Parts anyone?

I have two Newports that I will be stripping cosmetics off of, any parts any of you are looking for, let me know. I will sell the maroon one as a whole. It has a 360/727 4bbl, it runs but water pump went out the other day. non title, make me an offer, Silver car has 43K original miles on it. 360/727 2bbl. Im wanting to sell the motor/trans out of it. plus any cosmetic/ interior parts. will not sell any part of the body/bumpers. feel free to ask questions, I work 60-70 hours a week on 3rd shift, so please give me some time to check on the parts. I know someone on here was looking for a passenger turn signal light, but cant remember who.

I need a left wiper arm from either. Also looking for the vacuum hoses from the radiator ported vacuum switch that run to the carb and the EGR valve. One has a white line and the other gold/yellow.

I will check for those tomorrow, and get the best condition ones for you. Sale is pending on the maroon Newport. Will be able to pull parts off of it still.

The fender skirts off the Maroon car are in great shape, the ones on the silver car, bolts look a little rusty and I may not be able to get those off. Passenger side marker light on maroon Newport is broke, the one on the silver newport is fair condition, not broke but not in good shape either, depends on what you need it for. and the trimp around the vynl, which car do you need it off of? they look to be different. The silver newport also had a vynl top, I just removed it to see how much damage was under it.

Thge hoses, look in decent shape off of the silver Newport. the wiper arms on both cars look to be about the same Condiotion, need a good cleaning

OK, I have a buyer for the maroon Newport, it is going as a derby car, so any trim etc, any cosmetics can come off before it leaves here in a few weeks. it is being sold without motor/trans, I am asking $450 for the motor/trans. 360/727 4bbl. The silver Newport, Im keeping as my derby car for right now, but parts can still be taken off of it. Motor/trans is forsale in it as well. Let me know what you all are looking for,

I havent had a chance to take it off yet, but still have both cars, thought i had a few buyers, but all backed down. Oh well, I guess I will use them up in the derbies.

78 Newport

Hi Demon 340: I have an ad in the "Parts Wanted" section of the forum. Basically I need that little verticle chrome strip that is on the side of either front turn signal lens. I'll take just the chrome strip or a good lens that has this piece. Also, on the 78 only...does the car still have the wiper pivot arm that connects into the wiper motor and main plastic bushing? Chrysler sold this as part #3799442 which is a pivot arm and bushing combo. I could just use the bushing since I have a freind that will reproduce it for me and others. Let me know. Thanks, Jim

The bushing itself is available at AutoZone, Advance. etc on the rack that has all the "HELP" tidbits and goodies on it. Saw it yesterday and thought of this post. It's in an assortment pack.

Hi Commado!: Nice Car! Anyway, the 78's main bushing is about the size of a half dollar and from what I understand, it is one-year only part. (3799442) I have looked at that "HELP" kit in the past and unless they have changed it, it did not have that big bushing, only the smaller one's. Let me know if this kit has been updated. Thanks!

How do you tell the difference, I dont see anything on either one of them saying autotemp

OK...How about the front turn signals? For Newports, they were the same from 74 to 78. Do either have that little verticle chrome strip? Also, regarding the wiper systems in that cars you have...does either car have the 2-speed intermittent wiper option? I might be inclined to change out my whole wiper syetem to avoid that stupid one year '78 only part? Please let me know, Thanks, Jim

How do you tell the difference? I dont see anywhere on the AC say Autotemp II. I dont know if the AC work in either vehicle, not a issue for me, LOL
