This guy saw me take the picture and offered them to me @ $5 apiece... What was I thinking? they would have been great wall art if nothing else. :BangHead: I passed on the chance, and then he was gone...:BangHead:

A guy and his son are coming to the car, and I start a conversation with the father... The son, Joe, turns out to be the owner... I was floored, he claimed to have carefully selected the model and searched for a long time to find "spinnaker white top and bottom". His modifications to the car has been the upgrade wheel covers over the standard ones she came with... and he is an enthusiast. Will was there and mentioned later I would've adopted the kid right then... he's right... the kid comes with his own Formal and was a pleasure to meet. He still can't have a twin for the prom though... didn't love him that much .

I hope he will find his way to our community here...

My swap/camping location...

Thx for the picture of my car Jeff, that’s the only one I now have.. stupid me didn’t take any of my own car. Duh! Great seeing you and Will again.. only 362 days till we do it again. :thankyou:

Wow! That is nice! Low mileage? Is it a Gesswein car (front plate)?

Yes, the young man got her for a 4 digit price. He really sounded like he has a good head on his shoulders and answered all of my questions in an intelligent manor. IMO he overpaid a little, but for low miles and no rust bubbles, plus the color he was after... I get it. The car had sat for a couple of decades and the dealer didn't go through her enough to prevent some early brake hose issues... but I suppose that isn't enough to complain about them.

He said they were nice to deal with. I made sure to invite him here about 27 times... I hope he shows up.

I did try to get him to @polara71 for an acid test... but Dave left too soon. I would have enjoyed watching this guy win Dave over, he looked barely old enough to drive, but had the right attitude about everything I questioned him on.

Should have grabbed them. I see easy $$ flipping them to the custom car guys on the HAMB.

The H.A.M.B.

That's it. I am going next year. With or with out car. It is only 1,300 miles or about 20 hours. I think I should start with shorter trips, but if it will make Farmington for Mopars in the Park which is 540 miles round trip with no problems it could be a plan one year. I would stress over where to overnight on the way though.
My goal is to get there next year.
