Well I haven’t taken delivery of it yet but I figure it’s a good time to start this thread.
I’m going to finish the deal tomorrow and grab some parts while I’m there.
I know it’s a charcoal with a red interior and I’m assuming a white top and it has an am/fm radio but that’s really all I can determine from the tag so any help decoding would be appreciated.
It looks pretty loaded and another Imp with no ac for me!:)

well first of all, congrats on the new toy!, you'll have to post more pix when you take possession. Is the car a driver at this point? oh, I wanted to ask, do you ever drive your roadrunner and is that anything you could also post a pix of?

Way to go Matt, nice purchase. Any idea on how roadworthy it is? Mid 60s Imperial coupes aren't at the top of my list because of my taste in the roofline, but putting the top down would change all that Lol! And I bet the red interior will make things pop. Congrats again!

Nice color combination! Will be nice when it's all done, no doubt.

Enjoy!

Post lots of pics. Also congratulations on your new Imp!

Great score Matt! I looked at a 64 hardtop last year but didn't pull the trigger so now I am going to live vicariously through you....

Very nice! Congrats and good luck with your new car. Love the 60's Imperials, such spectacular cars. Now that you have another Imperial, you wouldn't be competing with a certain dentist here (although his are all fuselage)? Really nice color combo. Charcoal with red leather sounds very rich. I am sure it has power fly windows. i wish I had the garage space for an Imperial, especially a '67 or '68 Crown Coupe.

congrats matt
yep you have an M code charcoal gray with M9R red leather
the other option codes might be difficult to exactly say right now, there are some of us 64 imp owners trying to come up with a complete list of imperial option codes.
i can see you have the optional passenger side mirror
for some reason the imp option codes show up as 2 digit alpha numeric ones on the imp body tags.
the # 41 on the tag is an inspector's stamp.
A 5= Torqueflight Transmission

So would that be a 383-4 with the cast 727?
There are broadcast sheet decoders out there for a 64 so hopefully you can locate one in the car.

No any Imperial was available with a 383. Because we have a 64 in question, the one and only engine is a 413.

Nice car(s)!

What is the plan with the 2 new cars? Are you keeping them???

Congratulations! Did you keep a set of those 64-66 Imperial parade boots for it?
