Looks great! May have missed it earlier in the thread but did you need to replace much metal in the back window channel area?
The holes were small enough to use Metalux. No cuttin no welding needed. Very lucky in that regard. If it was ignored the repairs would have been drastic.

The window channel once cleaned out is in excellent condition. No fabrication needed!
Just some grey rust killer paint which is canuck Dom16 or Por15 equivalent

What the heck is metalux? Google shows me metal halide lighting.

This week Maggie and I sanded the old glue from the roof in preparation of the new top.

After Maggie was finished sanding I put a coat of primer on the roof.
It did not have to be show quality perfect but at least the roof is well protected for another 50 years..I hope.
We made sure the car was well covered with what was around the shop.

Well Frankie (Maggie call the car him that) is out of the paint bay and back to the other shop.
Calling in my friend to install the vinyl top , re install the rear glass and we also ordered a new headliner.
While we wait for that, the gas tank is ready to go back in underneath.
Plus a much needed coolant overflow jug based on this pic..
Stay tuned!!
