A friend of mine organized a get together of people we know to meet at a parking lot with their cars. We had 10 cars, a boat and..... a commercial bus. My friend Mike asked if there would be room for his bus. The organizer said yes and he brought his 1953 GM Coach, 4 speed. Absolutely gorgeous. With original cardboard advertising placards above the seats. Check out the photos, can you imagine this type of sign with the little shits of today....they would deface it, destroy it or set it in fire. When I was a kid, the worst thing that would happen would someone would have drawn a mustache, black eye or eyeglasses on the Jerry Lewis MD ad.

So did he restore the bus or buy it that way? I assume it's a Detroit powered bus. I can't imagine the cost of restoring that thing.

This one has been restored. He has more than one bus, and has rented them for movies and tv productions and he is paid as an extra to drive them.

That's a GM Old Look bus....the same as the Rosa Parks bus in the Henry Ford museum. They were commonly painted in what was known as the "fruit salad" color combo but this blue and white striped scheme is beautiful.

And wow, wish I was around to have attended that Bavarian festival....

We have a antique power show by us and a few old buses show up that are always cool to go walk through and sit in, they range from the 50s threw the 70s. That's something that sets shows apart from one another. Beside how many mustangs and cameros does one need to see in one lifetime?

Wow! It takes a lot of passion and dedication to restore a vehicle like this to that level. Not to mention cost and storage space. This old mans hat is off to him.
I came close to owning an original 1960 Flexable that was used to shuttle astronauts. What a beauty it was. Good sense prevailed over impulse.

Thanks for posting. We should be grateful that there are people around who have the desire and resources to preserve such an amazing piece of history. That 300 convertible looks like a very nice ride too.

Paging @amazinblue82

Thanks for the pics, @JC68vert300 -- if you have a few more pics of the two yellow cars in the second set of pics, that'd be great too! We've seen your 300 outside, but I'd love to see the inside. Ditto for the four-door sedan in the background.
