Just found out that there was only 12 shootings over the holiday weekend. This place is getting rediculous! I can remember when almost everybody in this city worked. For god sakes, GM builds this city, builds umpteen plants and 90 yrs later there's 1 plant left, the crime rate is one of the worst in the country ,an unemployment rate that hovers around 16% not to mention 75% of the employed part of the population in this city works OUTSIDE of the city! I ask myself every other day " Why am I still here?....

Come to Texas, mainly rust free cars and parts. Anybody that wants to work can.
If you move any where near Austin or south probably won't have more than 4 or 5 days of below freezing weather a year.

Maybe this year and last have been exceptions but for the most part we see little freezing weather south of the Austin area at least as long as I have lived here.
Two years ago we had 2 nights in the mid 30's this year we had 6 nights in that we actually dropped below freezing. I do agree that in North Texas you tend to get more cold weather but nothing like Michigan.

Surprisingly there aren't any cop killings up here. It's just these hood rat *** idiots that refuse to anything other than shoot someone when they have a problem with them. I'm far enough away from the city of Flint that I don't hear gunshots at all. I hate hearing about it anywhere let alone 10 miles from home.

I moved from your area 10 years ago, and though I miss the season change, I don't miss the winters. I have family right outside Flint, it's probably, worse than Detroit in the bad areas.

Seriously though, any city has the hood rat mentality the closer you get to MLK Avenue/Blvd/St.

I had an episode with a guy last night in Tampa who thought he was going to snatch the laptop out of my truck while I was 12 feet away. Then after I told him he'd regret it, stood 50 feet away yelling racial slurs.
I have noticed, as of late, the natives are more restless than usual. Maybe if guns were outlawed we would all be safer (sarcasm).
