I would like to introduce "Betty"

Whoa... Wait, I thought people were commenting on how clear the speedometer was...
For the most part it is but not where is counts...

That is a cool looking instrument panel!

I sure would like to see a picture of it lit up at night!

I know.....a lot of picture requests. LOL

But this is a very cool car!

This was one of the selling points that I was considering when I looked at the car to purchase it :)

I think that they were factory

I have NEVER seen a no heater car. Neat that there is still a defroster function even if there's no heat.

I do have to agree with the earlier poster though. Backup lights were an option. Maybe added by the dealer or a previous owner?

I'm going to fix and drive for now nothing else
I'm just having some fun right now
I agree with Stan I need to leave it and drive it
I'll be redoing the carpet though
It's toast

If the carpet in this car is original, that would make it another option. The Seneca was a rubber floormat car. I'm a little suspicious that some of the car has been repainted. Seneca had a single chrome moulding, which your car doesn't have. There would have been metal clips to hold it in place and holes to mount the clips. I see no holes, so I'm guessing where the moulding went has seen some bodywork and paint.

It's strange that the other chrome is near perfect and that would be missing
I'll know better once I remove the door panels
The evidence should show up if there was side trim
Come to think of it, the holes should be visible in the trunk

I'm going to try to find a build sheet
That will answer or create a lot of questions :p
I crawled carefully under the dash and it appears that it is a simple vent no defrost
I'll post some pics later

I charged the battery and took some pics this evening.

I saw immediately that the dash lights were on even with the headlight switch in the off position which explains why I found a new replacement switch in my bag of goodies that came with the car
Here's the dash dimly lit
Rotation of the switch made no difference
The dash is pretty dirty too
The exterior lights all work and the horns are crisp & insanely loud!
