    440 cam degreeing help

    Ok any help would be appreciated. I'm installing a cam in my 440. So far ive tried straight up and its fairly close but around 3 degrees shy on the icl from my card it ends up at 100. The @.050 intake opening is damn near spot on closest ive got it is within 1 degree and closing is 1.5 degrees...

    My destop dyno puts out a figure of my 451 at 480 hp 4750rpm and 601 ft lb. of torque at 3000 rpm.     Progress... 400/451 coming together

    Spoke to the machine shop today and got my heads back after then hardened seats were installed and new valve guides. Blocks been bored with a deck plate and the cylinders cleaned up to what I wanted, so I can run the 4.375 bore. The crank will be machined next week so that'll give me time over...

    camshaft advise.

    well if the rod happens to be bad for the 400 in the 72 ill have to scrap together a rebuild kit for it assuming... I know something that shouldn't be done... that the crank journal is probably damaged from a bad bearing (rod knock)... so ill take you guy's advise and find a kit with the kb...
