2019 hurricane season thread...

Just when you thought mankind could not get any worse in its behavior...
A storm comes along.

Is it bad that I got a little enjoyment out of the fuel situation?.....

How much per gallon was the 93?

I just filled the NYB and the Scat Pack with 93.....$2.77 a gallon.

Honestly I didn’t even look. Hell Idk what I even paid for diesel. Just wanted to get in and out of there. They are always the cheapest around here.....

So with the updated track, staying strong and off the coast means there can be a wild card landing almost anywhere... and staying offshore doesn't entirely change my likelihood of a long day or so without power. There has been something wrong at the local junction box that has caused a couple of houses here to lose power in several storms this past year... IDK what it is, but I don't like it much.

So as I'm starting to think the entire peninsula has a 50% chance of tropical storm conditions... but wait... Key West... way out in the 20% band and everywhere has a generator... I bet there are lots of vacancies too

A lot of places are not getting deliveries.

Jaaaeeezus, and the Governor was on the 6 O'clock news last night saying the gas tankers were to get FHP escorts to speed up deliveries.

Let the new Governor bashing begin!

Also the Mayor of Miami was on TV admitting that they still don't know where it's going to go so it may be a mad dash when it comes to evacuating.

Reports here saying the hurricane is not going to make landfall until it hits North Carolina and might miss landfall in Florida altogether and might just roll out to sea.

You know **** is getting serious when the military starts moving the hardware.....

Florida military bases move warships, aircraft ahead of Hurricane Dorian

He He, some funny comments over there:

"OMG You mean Florida is now defenseless?"

"No, fear not! There are enough HORRIBLE drivers in Florida to kill any enemy that tries to land and take over while the Military is gone!"

"U.S. Coast Guard...for those times when the Navy is scared of the weather."

"From the Kennedy saw one of our escorts go full blown submersible. Only thing out of the water was the conning tower."

Florida is no way safe from the hurricane even if it doesn't hit land. Big wind, rain and tidal surge will still batter Florida.

Stan, looks like you might still have to get in line for 4 hours to get your 10 government sand bags.

:mob:

Stay safe everyone.....

HowTF is having a cop lead you going to get you to your fuel delivery any faster.
Seriously... :realcrazy:

STRICTLY a political PR act.

Nah I guess it was to get them through traffic ya know, the "Pull Over Law" and allow them to go through red lights. There was something else about relaxing gas tanker restrictions, weight? road restrictions? Your a trucker you may know more about that, I didn't pay attention.

Dang!!!

I see the hurricane path is starting to creep towards the mid-Atlantic......

I'm not counting FL as safe yet, but sorry to folks farther north (in the south), who look like their going to get some too.
