The 9 1/4 inch referred to in the above lit is the Dana 60, not to be confused with the later 9 1/4 corporate.

The 9.25 is referring to the Dana 53, not to be confused with the later corporate 9.25.

A Dana 60 has a 9.75" ring gear.

This thing is not entirely correct. I had a '70 Challenger, 225 3-speed car; it had the 7.25 rear in it.

A Dana 60 has a 12 Bolt cover, the 7 1/4, 8 1/4 and 9 1/4 have 10 Bolts. The previously Printed illustration is correct.

That's really close to a 7 1/4 but the longer I stare at I feel like I may be wrong. I fall short on not knowing what a Dana 53 looks like. I tried to google it but too many different ones came up. No way to tell.

it is hard to tell in a picture. However, a 7 1/4 is really Dinky, and the 8 1/4 access cover is round. The old 9 1/4 looks really similar to the 56 Plymouth rear end I have. Shape wise.Regarding the 74-79 Cordoba 9 1/4 rear, I had one in my 70' Challenger, and it fit perfectly. (Not original of course)

That picture is from the 68 fury 440 4 speed. The 7 1/4 looks alot like it but there is no way they would of installed it in a BB Car.

I would almost bet money it was an 8 3/4 actually. Almost.... Lol

sure looks like an 8 1/4 to me. 10 bolts. the 7 1/4 had nine bolts and smaller axle tubes. there you have it. I think lol
